The Construction Monitor/Inspector will be involved in the investigation and quality control of various aspects of new and remedial construction projects.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience and qualifications:

-Minimum of 3 years of inspection and construction observation/monitoring experience working as a monitor/observer, inspector, foreman or superintendent in the construction industry

-Experience providing monitoring inspection services for multi-family residential, institutional and commercial construction projects

-Familiarity or expertise in roofing, waterproofing, stucco, siding, windows, sealants and other building envelope areas

-Ability to observe construction activities, verify compliance with contract documents, plans and specifications and identify installation defects

-Ability to produce and maintain daily reports and records of construction activities

- ICC or RRO certification a plus

-Knowledge of the State of California construction standards.

-2 to 4 year college level education; a degree in architecture, civil engineering or a similar field a plus

-Excellent oral/written communication and analytical skills

-Self-starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion

-Ability to work as individual contributor and contribute as part of a larger project team; must be team oriented and able to work in a culture that encourages professional growth and innovation

-Willingness and desire to learn and apply new concepts to assignments and projects

- Good computer skills are a must – MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook

-Must be able to make extended trips, including field visits to construction sites; travel may be required

-Must have outstanding client service

-Comfortable with heights

-Must hold a current driver’s license and have reliable transportation
